KENYAN COSMETIC BRANDS
August 22 | Posted by Editorial Team | Beauty And HairThe average lady will have several cosmetic products in her handbag at any one
time. These products range from skin care products, make up, nail polishes and other
cosmetic products. Local retailers carry a variety of brands that are of varying degrees
in quality standards. The sad story is that you will hardly spot a local cosmetic brand at
your favorite retailer.
This is not to mean that we do not have our own cosmetic brands. Yes we do, and
their quality standards rival your regular high end brands. This is a story in honor of two
homegrown brands;
SuzieBeauty
This is a brain child of the celebrated makeup artist Suzie Wokabi. Her product
catalogue ranges from foundations, powders, make up brushes, lip wear and eye
makeup.
Jaqi
Jaqi is a brand by studio jaqi, a luxury spa and salon located in Karen. They stock in
house products such as lip wear and eye makeup.
As the local fashion industry continues to take shape, homegrown brands can only
transition into international brands with the support of you and me. Aspire to buy one
item from a local designer for every two foreign products you buy and watch how far we
can drive our own Kenyan brands.

true. you would have started the support system by telling us where we can get their products.
